Quietude

Research

We began our research by analyzing the features found across the spectrum of platforms including; desktop, tablet, and mobile. Simultaneously we were searching innovative or disruptive technology that was impacting the three platforms. After some desktop research we came across the concept of neuromarketing.

Companies like nViso have built neuromarketing platforms that can successfully measure and analyze emotions for the purpose of marketing

Leveraging features found on all three platforms, we focused on the innovative opportunities found within a forward facing camera.

Challenges and insights

An initial challenge we confronted was how to create a calming experience that created value for the users. In our research we discovered that most users don’t consider technology calming and often times avoid it.

a persona and journey map gave us a better understanding of the users experience through the various touchpoints.

The information architecture helped us to structure the flow of information and interactions while wireframing gave us an opportunity to visualize the flow before the user testing

Usability testing provided us with the data we needed to improve the flow and and usability of our interface.
